Englewood Christan Church - Ministries - Youth

1. Wednesday Night Alive (WNA): This takes place on Wednesday Night from 6-7 p.m. This year we are looking at what it means to be "Built on the Rock." Our theme comes from Matthew 7: 24-27, "Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on the rock. The rain fell, the river's rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. Yet it didn't collapse; because its foundation was on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and doesn't act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the rivers rose, the winds blew and pounded that house, and it collapsed. And its collapse was great! (HCSB)" Teens will experience nights of study developed around this year's theme, fun and fellowship through games and activities, and opportunities in worshipping and serving Jesus Christ. Come join us as we challenge teenagers to build on the strong foundation found in Jesus Christ.
2. Sunday Night (Teen Bible Study): This takes place on Sunday Night from 7-8 p.m. On this night we want teens to explore God's word on a deeper level. As we explore God's word we hope teens come to know the God of the Bible as they join in the story that God is bringing together. Our Bible study will be focused on the Encounters with Christ, found in the Gospels. As we look at those who came and contact with Christ in scripture, we hope teens to will have the same encounter that changed so many lives.
3. Fellowship Opportunities (Outings): Here at Englewood we want to provide our teens with the opportunity to do different outings throughout the year. Such outings range from a fun day watching a Smokies Baseball game to a Spiritual Mountain top at the Tennessee Christian Teen Convention. Our goal from these outings to build fellowship and unity within our youth group. Look for more information on these outings throughout the year.
